Highly recommend if you are looking to not only train your pet, but to create a strong bond. My pup Loki LOVES trainer Amanda. She’s is very knowledgeable. Her ability to recognize what you and your pet need to help build a long lasting relationship makes her lessons fun and enjoyable, but also educational. Also she knows not every pet is the same and will adjust the lessons until she find what does work. She is constantly working to improve her teaching skills through research and training. Her hard work, dedication, and big heart is what keeps me coming back. She provides all the tools you need to succeed and I can’t wait to continue our journey in level 3. Will also be signing my new pup up for private lessons to help build her confidence.
Noise Anxiety
We reached out to Amanda through recommendation from our vet to help with our dog’s noise sensitivity and her new scared behavior of almost everything including walks. She was amazing! She helped us understand what our dog was asking from us through her behavior and how to handle her anxiety as well as how to teach her to calm in distracting situations. She is still a work in progress but has made great improvements. Amanda taught us so many things to help our girl. She is very knowledgeable and she truly cares about animals. We would highly recommend her to anyone in need of a trainer. Thank you so much for your help!

Jumpy Pups!
“We reached out to Amanda since she was referred to us by our veterinarian and we were looking for training for jumping/nipping for our dog Max. We have done 4 training sessions with her, kept up with homework and see a world of difference in Max. His patience level has increased, and we have learned how to control his jumping. Compassionate work for both pup and guardian
Compassionate Companions is the perfect name for this organization! The owner Amanda is not only compassionate, kind and patient with the animals she works with but also with the human clientele. As a first time dog person, There were a few times when I was unsure and Amanda was reassuring and patient. Our dog Finnley just adores Amanda and was eager and open to each training session due to her warm demeanor with him. We learned many great techniques from her that have made huge improvements in our home life with Finnley!! We feel we understand him more and he appreciates that! We continue to use what we’ve learned from Amanda and actually may have her return for some further training to give Finnley more mental engagement. He enjoys learning and especially enjoys it with Amanda. I very much recommend Compassionate Companions!

Amanda has extensive experience working with all sorts of dogs including fearful and very reactive dogs. She can provide training services and teach relaxed, loose-leash walking. She can help evaluate harness fit and which situations make your dog nervous. She can help work with high prey drive dogs.

Amanda is an awesome person. We’ve known each other for 7 years. We met in a veterinary clinic where she was a vet tech for many years. Since then, she has gone on to become a certified fear-free dog trainer, using positive reinforcement techniques to help both pets and their owners. Last year, my family got a Doberman Pinscher puppy that was a little older and not socialized, she was very reactive and scared. With Amanda’s help training, we have seen amazing improvements. We also have an 11yr old malamute. On days we can’t bring our dogs with us, Amanda has been pet sitting. She is wonderful, always lets me know how they’re doing, plays with them, gets the puppy energy out however it’s needed, and feeds them. She’s the only person I trust to come into my house and care for the dogs while I’m gone. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Amanda is a very compassionate, intelligent, and responsible animal lover. Her years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and an animal trainer and behaviorist have made her an amazing pet caretaker. I entrust Amanda with the lives of my babies! She has been great with my dog who has some behavioral issues. My dog loves Amanda!
